Dusky Roadside-Skipper (Amblyscirtes alternata)

Rare and local in NC, this species is probably two brooded with the first brood primarily in April and the second in August. It's found is found in the sandhills and coastal plain in fairly open pine woods, pine savannas, powerlines, etc., often occurring in the same location as Reversed Roadside-Skippers, as observed by Harry LeGrand.
