Hayhurst's Scallopwing (Staphylus hayhurstii)

Statewide in NC but rare to uncommon and local, colonial. Only known from one county in the mountains. Hayhurst's Scallopwing has three broods and may be found on the wing from April through September but is more common in the summer.
