Will Cook spotted this gull first, allowing me, Rob Van Epps, and Harry LeGrand to enjoy watching it. Will, Rob, & I then practiced "diginocking", taking photos with a digital camera through one eyepiece of a pair of binoculars. The bottom left photo was "diginocked", while the others were simply taken with the camera zoomed in to 4X with a 2X extender attached. Clearly, I need much more practice with both techniques . . . (The bottom right photo shows the Black-headed Gull (front right) with two Bonaparte's Gulls.)
