The Brant fed on the lawn for several days, allowing many local birders excellent views of this inland rarity. This flock seemed to be a family group of two adults and 3 immatures. The immatures lacked white neck markings and showed obvious wing bars. This photograph was taken at ~4X with a Nikon 4500 "point-and-shoot" digital cameral. The photos below were digiscoped with the same camera through a KOWA spotting scope at various magnifications. |
