Le Conte's Sparrow (Ammodramus leconteii)

Breeds in wet grasslands & sedgy areas in Canada and the central border US states. In NC it a local and fairly rare in similar habitats in winter in the coastal plain.

Le Conte's Sparrow (Ammodramus leconteii)

Le Conte's Sparrows can be very secretive and quiet, however, at times they'll perch about knee high to have a look around.
