Little Grass Frog (Pseudacris ocularis)

Little Grass Frogs are the smallest frogs in N. America and in NC are found primarily in the coastal plain. Their vocalizations are insect-like tinkling sounds. Thanks to Ron Gunwald, Jeff Beane, and Jeff Hall for ID confirmation!
