Jeff's Birds of Peru Photo Page

All photos were taken using a Nikon CoolPix 4500 digital camera with only a 4x optical zoom. Most of the waterfowl shots were "digiscoped", i.e. the camera was held up to the eyepiece of a spotting scope to get a close-up shot.

(Since this camera is better at macro shots than telephoto shots, most of my Peruvian butterfly pictures are MUCH better than my bird shots!)
