Along the road to Hacienda el Limón, elevation?

One of the "best" butterflies we saw from the standpoint of localized taxa, this butterfly is endemic to central and northern Peru.
On this page are 90+ species of neotropical butterflies of Northern Peru grouped by subfamily and family as of 2003. Identification references used include Bernard D'Abrera's Butterflies of the Neotropical Region series, DeVries' Butterflies of Costa Rica series, and Feltwell's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Butterflies.
