Below are photos shot of various invertebrates during a 6 day trip to the Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica. This page includes butterflies, moths, and many other insect species, plus spiders, scorpions, millipedes, and crabs. Tailless Whip Scorpion Greentique Refugio, Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica 11 Jan 2021 Many species have been described in this group of organisms. Although they looks scary and dangerous, they are relatively harmless to humans. These are also known as Vinegaroons because some can spray a vinegar-like liquid as a defense mechanism. |
